Angus Winfield
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children on Saturday 2nd December 2023 aged 82.
A kind and loving person who expressed his love for people and the planet through the things he could do to help.

Funeral service will be held at Atlantic Rest Natural Burial on Friday 22nd December at 11am followed by a celebration of Angus’ life at The Panier Pantry at The Custom House, 1 Bridgeland St, Bideford, EX39 2PS, with a ceremony, Christmas food and live music with the folk band ‘Rakes Adrift’.

Dress code:.

Whatever you feel comfortable and warm in, it will be cold at the burial.

Dad/Angus was a great lover of all things French and had vast collection of striped clothing. We discussed wearing striped Breton shirts/jumpers with Dad for his funeral and he loved this idea, so if you’d like to join us in stripes, please do so.

Simple Flowers/Winter garden cuttings are welcome (if you wish) for the coffin/burial in biodegradable ties, no plastic.
Donations in his memory for The Woodland Trust or North Devon Hospice by retiring collection or c/o Braddicks & Sherborne Funeral Directors, No 1 Abbotsham Road, Bideford, EX39 3AF (01237) 477222

Sorry to hear of Angus’ passing. I was on the Bideford Sustainability Group committee with him, and knew him as a passionate environmentalist. Both he and Marianne were lovely people, willing to work for a better future for all.

I send my condolences to his familly, as I know he will be greatly missed.

On behalf of all his many friends in the Torridge U3A Science group, I’d like to express our heart-felt condolences on your sad loss. Angus was an active and enthusiastic member of our group, always ready to chip in with his wise, and often witty contributions. He’ll be sorely missed.
    With best wishes,

    Dear Ceri, Owain and Guy,

I’m sorry I cannot be with you tomorrow but will be thinking of you all from the other side of the world and sending so much love. I have so many happy memories as a teenager at Twinell cottage and remember your Dad well from then. He would always ask how I was and take interest in my life.

So much love to you all, Rachel xxx :candle: :candle:
