David Jaggard “Big Dave”
Passed away peacefully at the North Devon District Hospital on Sunday 14th May 2023 aged 86.
Loving husband to Joyce, much loved dad to Dawn and Kevin, best grandad to Charlotte and Darren and greatest great grandad to Jr and Layland.
Funeral service will be held at St Margaret’s Church, Northam, on Wednesday 31st May at 11am followed by interment.

Family flowers only please.

One of Westward Ho!’s historic businessmen & family man, David Jaggard (Big Dave) closed his eyes & passed peacefully away @ NDDH 14th of May 2023.

Dave & his wife Joyce owned & ran “The Winchester” restaurant, bar & fish ‘n’ chip shop in the 70’s/80’s (now the Waterfront).

A country & western themed business with batwing doors, country music, good times & a queue around the corner for his renowned fish & chips for locals and returning holiday makers year after year.

Thanks to staff, customers & friends along the way. Also latterly a huge thanks to rural care. Dave leaves a loving family, Joyce, Dawn, Kevin, Charlotte, Darren, Jr & Layland.

End of an era as they say!
