Much loved husband of Carla, loving father of Robert and Alexandra, proud grandfather of Federico and Francesca.
Funeral service will be held at St Nectan’s Church, Stoke, Hartland on Tuesday 7th April at 2pm.

Sincere condolences to Carla and family. David was a lovely man. Such a gent. Rest in peace.
A fine chemistry teacher, I loved his wooden chemical symbols above the blackboard; and remember his skill as a violinist. Most of all though a kind and caring man. God bless.

Dear Carla Robert and Alex, my deepest condolences to you all for your very sad loss.
Mr Young was a real gentleman, a great teacher and a very caring and kind person. He always had our best interest at heart and as our house master always looked out for us all. He was like a father figure and made our time at Scott House a happy and memorable one. We are all very sad that he has passed, he will never be forgotten.
So sorry to have missed paying my respects to David and his family. So many happy memories shared for my 17 years teaching with David at Grenville College. A lovely, kind, gentleman. Xx
David was intuitively kind and thoughtful, going beyond call of duty to be so…am only sorry, as probably a 1,000 or more , others are, they didn’t get chance to thankyou .
