Dear Grandad, I am so proud to call you that but it doesn’t cover who you truly were, you were my hero. The memories of your cheeky grin when you would wind nan up, humming or whistling a tune, watching Morcombe and Wise and the Two Ronnies fill my soul with happiness and gratitude. All my happy memories involve you.
Out of the heartbreak of losing you has come wonderful love from people outside our family who all adored you. Carers, friends and strangers telling us how you made their day and how you made time for each and everyone of them. You had a gift to make us all feel special and despite liking your own company, you filled people’s days with giggles and empowered them through your healing and spiritual view of the world.
I miss you with all my heart but I know you are finally at peace. Love you all the world Grandad, look after Nan and Tess for us and if you see my Jakey, tell him mummy loves him so much xxxx

I have heard so many story’s over the years about you.
Was talking with Mum(Sylvia Rose) today and she was telling me about how she used to play the piano and you used to sing along.
How you was mates for years.
She was was to lose you.

Oh grandad, I don’t know where to start. It’s been easier to pretend it isn’t happening. You are the most special man, so many people love and cherish you. You always knew how much you meant to me because I took every opportunity to tell you. I can’t believe I won’t ever hear your voice again. I’ll miss you singing along to mellow magic and cracking jokes to make us all laugh. I’ll miss your bear hugs and your ability to make everyone around you feel loved xx I know you’re happy now, you’re where you wanted to be, I’m happy for you and gutted for the rest of us xx until we meet again my darling grandad, love you xxxx

Grandad you were loved more than you know and we will miss you everyday. You were an old fashioned gent with a huge heart and a very cheeky sense of humour. I will miss your laughter, hugs and stories. You will live on in our hearts and our memories forever ♥️
