Mark was simply the best friend anyone could ever hope to have. He made this world a better place and life will never be the same again without him. Thank you for all the fantastic times. We love and miss you more than words can say. Love always to our dearest friend. Noddy and Sue xxx
Rest in peace. X
We’ve lost a great neighbour and friend. Our thoughts are with all his family especially Jackie. X
Fair winds and following seas,
may forever you feel, upon your cheek, the salty breeze.
Your spirit lives on in many a heart,
your words captured, and never to depart.
May your loved ones have the comfort in knowing,
to heaven is where you are going.
For all that they have to do is look above,
and they will be reminded of your love.
I’m so sorry to hear this news shared with me today. I will always remember Mark with fond memories and for his wicked sense of humour, the way he chuckled you couldn’t help but laugh with him. When I moved to Ilfracombe all that time ago, Mark was one of the first people to make me welcome and when I left, life changed, sadly we lost touch. Gone but not forgotten, thank you Mark for being a friend to me and countless others. Rest in peace Mark. My sincere condolences to your family and friends, may the memories you leave behind give each and every one comfort in hours and days ahead.
Mark, my friend, what to say?
When we first met in Ilfracombe, all those years ago, I’d fallen in the harbour from my dinghy. Soaking wet, water pouring from my nose, you walked down the harbour steps grinning, offering a hand and saying, ‘welcome to the club, you’re going to fit in well around here!’
We stayed friends from that moment, now over 30 years ago.
As you arrive at those gates above, I can see you grinning, St Peter marching out saying, ‘Welcome, you’re going to fit in well around here!’ God speed mate, until we meet again 🍻👍🙏
