A true gentleman who always had time for you, you will be sorely missed on the fairway but not forgotten.
Dad, words cannot express how much I love you and how much you mean to me. The hole you leave in my heart is immeasurable. I will cherish all of the lovely memories I have of you and will be forever thankful for your loving support and kindness. You are and will always be my buddy, my role model, my hero.
Nick, getting to know you over the past couple of years through coaching Alfie is something I’ll always be grateful for. You were there every step of the way for him, his number one supporter, whether it was on the rugby pitch or at the athletics track. The pride you had in him was clear for everyone to see.
Wednesday nights won’t feel the same without you. I’ll really miss those chats while you brought Alfie along to training, simple moments that meant a lot.
You are a genuinely kind and lovely man, Nick, and it was a pleasure to know you.
Thank you for the conversations, the smiles, and for being such a big part of Alfie’s journey. I promise I will keep supporting and helping Alfie.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time Dean and Alfie,
Lots of love from
Shaun ,carolynne and Jacob
To our wonderful brother Nick — truly the best. Losing you has left a heartache that will never fade.
With all our love, Sue, and Jeff x
I had the pleasure of meeting Nick while he was watching Alfie play rugby at Kingsley ,while I was there watching my son play earlier this year .
Unfortunately as it turned out it was the first and last time I would ever speak with him ,which is so sad as he was such a lovely ,charming man ,who was so proud of Alfie .
Dean and Alfie you were so blessed to have such a wonderful Father and Grandfather, and my thoughts are with you both at this sad time .x.
All of our love and thoughts are with you Dean, Sylv, Helen, and family. I count myself very lucky to have shared some time, jokes, and happy moments with Nick. One of the most genuine people I have ever known with a fierce love for his family and a honest goodness rarely seen. He will be missed and remembered with love. x
I feel so grateful and proud to have become part of your family. Thank you for welcoming me with such kindness and warmth from the very beginning. I am especially grateful for all your help and advice over the years, which meant so much to me and will stay with me forever. I will always remember your generosity, your strength, and your amazing sense of humour, along with the love you gave so freely. I promise to take care of Dean, Sylv and your little chickens. You will be deeply missed and always remembered with love.
With heartfelt love,
Your daughter-in-law Blondie 🤍
You have left a handprint on my heart and you will never be forgotten. I will forever cherish the memories we have and will forever miss you. Love you millions, Grandpop. From Lucy 2 shoes
I am really so saddened by Nick’s passing I’ve struggled to know what to say. I met him (and Dean) in 2011. We’ve golfed, laughed and repeated that over so many weekends at Lutterworth Golf Club I couldn’t guess how many times! Then more of the same down here in lovely Devon over the last few years. Every time I’ve been with them has been a happy memory for me.
we don’t know you well, but Nick always talked about you with great heart and love so our thoughts go out to you too.
All the Jones’s family I’ve met are special, lovely people, Nick, as the head of the family has no doubt been a great influence in that.
Sylv, I know you will be hurting so much just now. And Dean, Helen, Ben, Lucy and Alfie you must all be devastated. Karl and your family, I know
Nick, this is a right old mess you’ve got yourself into…! but I know if you are having sneaky peak at all this (I’m sure you are!) you’ll be smiling and feeling proud of your family just like you always were. You are a top bloke, a great friend, an easy, happy, lovely, strong and caring friend, Dad and Grandad. We are missing you already mate and you’ll be in our thoughts for a long time to come.
In times of sadness you look back and remember days of happiness. And from the first time I met you from my friendship with Dean I thought wow what a lovely genuine man you are . We would always have a laugh together when we got to see each other me probably asking who won the golf between you and Dean . Nick you are and always will be a great friend to my family who will missed but never forgotten rip
Nick, words cannot describe how much you will be missed.
I will always smile at the way we would find each other across a room and share a giggle. And how we would always take each other’s side. Such a small, unspoken understanding, and yet it meant so much to me.
I find myself returning to that day on the steep, narrow staircase, both of us giggling at the thought (and likelihood) of tumbling down, and then congratulating each other at the bottom as though we had achieved something rather impressive. Everyone else thought we’d gone mad!
There is also that silly face you taught my children when they were small.. one of those things that will always be yours.
Thank you for your kindness, your humour, and for always being in my corner. I feel so proud to call you my father-in-law.
I will miss you – and your crumbs.
Sending the Jones Family our heartfelt condolences. Nick was a one in a million kind of guy who brought light into a room with such a cheeky smile and infectious giggle. We feel privileged to have known him.
With our love, Julie & Michael xxx
Nick, you came into our lives when Helen met & married Dean. What a lovely caring husband, devoted father & proud grandpop, supporting & encouraging all your grandchildren in their sporting activities.Your kindness & strength made a lasting impression on everyone around you. You will be sadly missed by us all. Family gatherings won’t be the same without you. RIP lovely man.x
Nick was always a great supporter of women’s golf and always appreciated a good shot and encouraged me when I hit a duffer! He was a real gentleman with such a strong sense of family with a great dash of humour- I really enjoyed playing golf with him and Dean and hearing all the family stories. Above all I loved hearing Chris telling me about the banter between him, Nick and Dean when they played together and the great laughs they all enjoyed on and off the golf course. Can’t believe he is gone so soon. Love to all his amazing family. ❤️
We are saddened to hear of the passing of Nick.
Though we only met Nick at family get together’s he came across as a lovely family man. We always found Nick to be a happy cheerful person and enjoyed a good laugh.
Nick will be dearly missed by all. Especially his grandchildren who he adored.
Irreplaceable. A true one off and a real gentleman in every sense of the word. One of the nicest, most genuine people you could wish to meet. It was an honour to have known Nick and for him to think of me as a friend. RIP mate.
