Passed away on Sunday 14th September 2025.
Funeral service will be held at the North Devon Crematorium, Rowan Chapel, on Friday 10th October 2025 at 11.30am.
Family flowers only please.
We are devastated to share that our beautiful Quint died suddenly on Sunday 14th September after one of his regular swims at Torridge pool. Died after doing something he loved.
I want to thank the team at Torridge pool and the individuals who stepped up to act immediately as Quint became unwell. The ambulance and air ambulance crew for doing everything in their power to keep Quint with us, but that wasn’t to be.
It goes without saying that we are all devastated. We loved him so. Quint was unique, a master of many things. The following is by no means an exhaustive list!

The chief of tinkering and never sitting still, his life was full.
In his eyes (which were very blue) his greatest achievement were our beautiful children. He would have been so proud of how they have navigated the world this week.
I am very grateful for the 33 years I have had with Q by my side. We have had a life full of adventures together and I was a better person because of him.
We often talked about how lucky we were to have such good friends and family and you have all come up trumps for us this week.
Thank you all for your kind words and deeds these past 7 days, we have been so well cared for. I can’t tell you how much comfort it has given us, to hear how Quint was loved, and what a difference he made to all your lives.
Remember his cheeky grin, his chuckle, his warmth, kindness, generous nature and all round brilliance. Be happy that you knew him and take some of that Quint positivity or, ‘Quintivity’ into your futures.
Q’s funeral will be 11.30am on Friday 10th October at Barnstaple Crematorium. We will head over to the Guillemot, in Westward Ho! afterwards for a party, to celebrate a wonderful human being.
No flowers but donations for Devon Air Ambulance and The Wave Project.
You are ALL welcome and there is no dress code. Quint never liked a dress code.
We would love to see you, share a story, some music, tears & laughter.
