Ronald John Dark ‘Ron’
Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 30th August 2025 aged 88.
Loving and much loved brother and brother-in-law to Anne, Jean and Dave.
Adored by all his nephews and nieces.
Loved and respected by friends, colleagues and former pupils.
A celebration of his life will be held at North Devon Crematorium, Rowan Chapel, on Monday 6th October 2025 at 3pm.

Ron and I became friends when I joined a new firm in Barnstaple where his opening words to me were “i suppose you are like the rest of us here for the money”
We became firm friends and most weekends we would go to dances from Ilfracombe to the RAF base on Hartland. Ron then decided to go teaching and went to training college near Exeter. He then had a school on Hartland where he built two large loudspeaker enclosures which filled up a lot of the small cottage room.
We kept in touch until I emigrated to New Zealand, On a couple of trips back I looked him up in his home near Bideford where he was keeping alive his love of restoring old cars.
I have good memories of our friendship and his way with words, and offer my condolences to his family.
